Pepper grower Florain Locher sees effect of USAF™ cavitating ultrasonic transmitter during cultivation and crop rotation!
"Everything is cleaner and cleaning takes less work than before"
A nice added benefit is that biofilm is broken down, making cleaning, especially of silos and drains, much easier and faster. The filters in the basin also stay much cleaner. Faster cleaning means fewer working hours, which translates into considerable cost savings.
It is therefore no coincidence that market gardeners often knock on Ultramins's door in Zwaag for a tailor-made solution. One of them is Florian Locher of Fresh Venture Farms, pepper grower in Canada.
"Even at the end of cultivation, we still have these quality peppers. That really makes you happy as a grower!'"
Better production
Florian shares his experience with the transmitters: "In our pond, we have had no problems with algae since we installed the transmitters about three years ago. This obviously makes for much cleaner water in our silos. We see this clearly in our annual cleaning: everything is cleaner and it takes less work than before. This saves us all a lot of time."
The power of cavitation kills all single-celled micro-organisms and eliminates viruses, explains Eric van Velzen of Ultramins. "Whether algae, bacteria, fungi or viruses, these pathogens simply cannot stand up to the powerful cavitation pressure waves. Moreover, cavitation technology is environmentally friendly. This is recognised by the government, which makes subsidies and tax breaks available for its use." The emitters are also deployed in day stock or 'clean' drain silos.
Florian Locher elaborates on his experience in his silos: "Since we installed the transmitters in our silos to disinfect the water, we have never had any problems with waterborne diseases. We also use far fewer chemicals than before. Our production this year has been better than in many previous years."
Synergy effect
Existing equipment, such as UV filters and ultrafiltration systems, may even perform better when cleaner water flows through them. This synergy effect results in a more efficient functioning water chain. In addition, the use of hydrogen peroxide can be significantly reduced - savings of 25-30% are certainly achievable.
In short, Eric observes, the USAF™ cavitating ultrasonic transmitters make gardeners' lives a lot easier AND ensure better results.
